Fall at Foodtrainers
There's nothing like a few chilly days to remind you that summer as you know it is over. Swimming, sipping rosé and strawberries are on their way out, soon to be replaced with scarves and shorter days. While this can seem all doom and gloom we're excited for fall. Summer is social and loosey goosey but fall is more sedate and structured, and selfishly speaking, a time when our clients are excited to get down to business with their wellness.

We get a lot of questions on cleanses and detoxes, and while we totally get the appeal of a fresh start to a new season, we have a few issues with strictly juicing. Mainly, we like to chew (a lot).
Foodtrainers' Dine & Detox includes 4, 1-on-1 nutrition sessions, a detox shopping list and insider information on Dine & Detox-approved restaurants.
Give us 4 weeks and we'll give you the jumpstart your body is craving for fall-with real food.

Favorite Detox Foods
With so many "detox" products on the market, it's easy to overlook the very best ones: fruit, veggies, spices and herbs.
Tahini: Sesame seeds have been said to restore vitality and sexual vigor and to have anti-aging qualities. So tahini, the paste of sesame seeds, should probably be on your next shopping list. While tahini is typically used as an ingredient (hummus), it can stand up on it's own too. Switch up your peanut or almond butter routine for our current obsession: single squeeze packs of Artisana's Raw Organic Tahini Butter.
Watercress: Reduce your cancer risk and strengthen your thyroid gland by eating this leafy green. Use it for salad, toss it in a soup, or steam it as a side.
Chia Seeds: You probably know it best from your childhood Chia pet, but this ancient superfood is great for energy. Chia is higher in omega 3's than salmon by weight and loaded with protein, fiber and calcium. We love Running Food's Milled Chia Stick Packs in our breakfast smoothies.
Papaya: Also known as the "fruit of angels", papaya helps with digestion. So the end result is no more bloat... angelic indeed. Papaya also packs a better vitamin C punch than an orange and reduces inflammation. Add it to yogurt, salad or smoothies, or try a papaya salsa to go over your fave wild fish.
